HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Karen Grace Sjoden, a woman who has been stalking Ellen DeGeneres, pleaded no contest to charges of misdemeanor trespassing in court Monday. She was released from prison but ordered to stay away from Ellen and Mrs. Ellen, Portia De Rossi. Sjoden must also check in with the judge every sixty days for the next three years and is barred from any contact electronically or physically (within 100 yards) of Ellen and Portia.
Richard Hatch, million-dollar winner of the first season of "Survivor", surrendered to U.S. marshals Monday to begin a 9-month prison sentence for not paying taxes on the prize money. Hatch is currently a contestant on "Celebrity Apprentice". Most of the season has already been taped, but the finale - set to air in May - airs live, and Hatch may not be available for it.
