WAIKIKI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police on Friday arrested a man in connection with a fire at a Waikiki apartment building that occurred three days earlier.
According to police records, the 39-year-old suspect is a resident of Seaside Towers on Seaside Avenue. He's accused of intentionally setting fire to two elevators in his building.
Investigators say the flames caused $3,700 in damages.
Officers arrested the man on suspicion of second-degree arson, a class B felony punishable by up to 10 years in prison, and then released him pending further investigation.
