HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Award winning chef and restaurateur Peter Merriman and Bill Terry have a new restaurant called Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman. The 6,100 square foot establishment is located in Wailea's Gateway Center and features locally-sourced food in a warm and welcoming environment.
Embracing Merriman's passion for regional and sustainable cuisine, Monkeypod Kitchen offers approachable hand-crafted food, paired with creative preparations and perfect execution.
"We'll focus on a locally sourced menu, using only socially conscious ingredients such as range-fed Maui beef, sustainably-caught fish species and no bottled products, except for wine," says Merriman. "Think homemade pies made from scratch, freshly baked hamburger buns and hand tossed pizzas from our kiawe wood burning oven."
The restaurant also features work from local artists and craftsmen throughout the restaurant.
