On Sunrise: A Second Waikiki Water Main Break

A quick look at what's ahead on this Thursday morning Sunrise ohana.

ONE WAIKIKI WATER MAIN BREAK FIXED, WHILE A NEW ONE SURFACES

Another bad break in Waikiki. This time, the water main break is on Kapahulu Avenue and Ala Wai Boulevard near Waikiki Public Library. Taizo will show us how that's affecting traffic this morning.

ZIPPER LANE TICKET FLAP

The zipper lane ticket flap is turning into a mini soap opera. First, DOT said anyone who received a ticket for using the Zipper lane Tuesday morning would get an excuse letter for Court. After a 6 car accident caused a major jam, DOT opened the Zipper lane to everyone and told us to spread the word. We did and imagine our surprise when a driver called in saying he had received a ticket for doing just that. Yesterday, the DOT said it turns out only 1 ticket was issued to a driver for using the zip lane. The rest, nearly 2 dozen, were for speeding.

REMEMBERING HERB KANE

Nainoa Thompson will join Ramsay to share memories of artist Herb Kane. Kane designed the Hokule'a and served as its first Captain in 1975.

SCHOOL CLOSURE AND MORE

Randy Moore will join us to discuss the decision to close Queen Liliuokalani and a bill in the legislature that would allow the superintendent of education to replace the staff in under performing schools.

LIVING LEI CHIC- HOT HAWAII DRINKS
