HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Two water main breaks are being repaired by Board of Water Supply crews Thursday.
Repair crews are working to fix a 24-inch water main break on Kapahulu Avenue near the Ala Wai Boulevard intersection.
All lanes of traffic on Kapahulu Avenue between Ala Wai Boulevard and Kuhio Avenue are closed. Ala Wai and Paki Avenue are open to traffic. The number of customers affected and the duration of the repair is unknown at this time.
Jefferson Elementary School is open and has water. A planned fun fair at the school today at 2:30 p.m. will go on as planned.
The city Zoo is also open.
An 8-inch water main has broken on Keikilani Circle near Aina Haina School. Crews are on the scene to start making repairs.
Board of Water Supply crews say about 20 homes are without water this morning.
Two other water main breaks this earlier week in Waikiki and Pearl City caused major disruptions to traffic and businesses,
