UH Warriors Spring Football Practice Starts Today

It's the first day of Spring practice for the UH Warrior football team. Ramsay Wharton hit the turf this morning to chat with Coach Mac about some the players to watch and the 2011 season ahead.  Click on the WEBXTRA: Extended Interview with Coach Mac for more on Coach Tomey and QB Bryant Moniz!

Spring Practice: 15 days
7:00am - 9am:
Monday, Wednesday at T.C. Ching Field
Friday: 4:30 pm.

They'll be a practice scrimmage game for the public in Hilo this year. Date to be announced.

This Friday night, March 11th, Hawaii football coaches for teams of all ages, are invited to attend the Coaches' Clinic/Social, following the team's practice. Registration for the $20 event, starts at 5:30 pm in the auditorium. The Clinic will be held from 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm, with heavy pupus and beverages served.

    The first large scale homeless sweep in two years below the Nimitz Viaduct starts on Monday. At least 180 people and dozens of pets were living below the viaduct before outreach crews alerted them of the upcoming cleanup. State officials decided to execute the sweep due to a spike in crime and because debris that floated into streams ended up in Honolulu Harbor and Keehi Lagoon. Part of the Moanalua Stream on the mauka side of the viaduct will be closed through Nov. 17. ...More >>
