A lot happening on this Wednesday morning Sunrise ohana.
HOMELESS ON THE MOVE AT KEAAU BEACH PARK
Ramsay returns to Keaau Beach Park this morning to see how the last homeless camp is dealing with eviction orders. They had to move out by 10PM last night for a 3 week clean up that starts at 8 AM.
SPRING BALL STARTS AT UH
The Warriors will be back on familiar turf as the team begins Spring Ball. We'll check in on their practice live this morning.
WAIKIKI WATER MAIN BREAK FIXED
That's the good news. The bad news? No one's sure what caused the problem. Taizo will keep us posted on any new traffic troubles. Plus, give us a progress report on those downed power poles on Fort Weaver Road that have caused problems since Friday.
ZIPPER LANE TICKET FIASCO
Speaking of traffic trouble, DOT is giving anyone who received a ticket in the Zipper lane yesterday an excuse letter for Court. After a 6 car accident caused a major jam, DOT opened the Zipper lane to everyone and told us to spread the word. We did and imagine our surprise when driver's called in saying they received tickets. Apparently, police didn't get the memo. (We also offered to testify in court on their behalf!)
We'll have a live demo of Muay Thai Martial Arts to gear up for this weekend's Honolulu Festival.
Award Winning Chef and Restaurateur Peter Merriman will stop by our Sunrise kitchen to show us what's on the menu at his new Wailea restaurant Monkeypod Kitchen.
Dan tells us some sad news this morning. Due to the state of the economy, something has to give. Waffle Wednesday may be cut to just once a month. Say it ain't so. Well, we certainly won't take our breakfast for granted this morning.
See you on Sunrise!
