UH Men's Hoops snags ninth game over San Jose State

SAN JOSE, California (HawaiiNewsNow) – The UH men's basketball team won for the 9th time in 11 games, defeating San Jose State 77-71 at the Event Center. The Rainbow Warriors improved to 18-10 overall and 8-7 in the Western Athletic Conference.

UH went on a game-ending 13-3 run to seal the win, Zane Johnson led UH with 26 points, including 18 in the second half. Amis posted 19 points and nine rebounds and Vander Joaquim added 12 points, seven rebounds and four blocks. In his third start at point guard Jeremiah Ostrowski dished out 10 assists with no turnovers.

UH closes its WAC regular season schedule at Fresno State on Saturday, March 5. Tipoff is set for 6:00 p.m. HT.
