Homicide investigation opened in to deadly Liliha fire

LILIHA (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police have opened a homicide investigation into a deadly fire at a Liliha Street boarding house that happened on February 2. Investigators say an arsonist caused the blaze that killed 78-year-old Clarence Isobe. The medical examiners office says Isobe died from thermal burns, but it changing the manner of death from "deferred" to "homicide" because the fire was intentionally set.
