HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Some aspiring actors got up close and personal with the stars from "Hawaii Five-0." The cast members and executive producers from the show put on an actor's workshop at Tenney Theater in downtown Honolulu. They offered their advice to some up-and-comers.
"I think it's really really important because it's not just audition classes or on camera classes. It's all the scene study, then there's improv, and there's Alexander, there's voice, there's movement," said actress Grace Park.
"What I really learned the most is being able to be relaxed on camera and being able to just get into the character and let kind of all the nerves go, and just really commit yourself to the character," said Max Louie, workshop attendee.
Participants we spoke with say community events like this one help motivate them to become professional actors.
