Hauula man in critical condition after moped crash

KAHUKU (HawaiiNewsNow) - An accident on Friday evening left the driver of a moped critically injured.

The driver, a 24 year old man from Hauula, was traveling on Kamehameha Highway, Haleiwa bound at 10:30 p.m. last night when he lost control.

The man was not wearing a helmet and alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash.

He was sent to Queens hospital in critical condition.
