Non-combustible waste drop off resumes on island

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The city will begin accepting one load of non-combustible waste a week per household on March 1. Waste pickup will go through the month of March, until further notice.

Householders can drop their waste off at six locations, in Ewa, Laie, Wahiawa, Waianae, Waimanalo and Waipahu, now that the Waimanalo Gulch Sanitary Landfill has reopened.

The information of each center is available on the Department of Environmental Service's website at http://www.opala.org/solid_waste/Drop_off_Centers_for_Refuse.html#ewa.
