KAUAI (HawaiiNewsNow) - Kauai police have concluded their on-campus investigation after a bomb threat at Kauai High School early Wednesday closed campus for the day.
No bombs or explosives were found.
Police deemed the campus safe of any bomb threat at about 11:20 a.m. but remained on campus until 2 p.m.
Police arrived on campus at about 6:15 a.m. after receiving a call from school officials of heavy graffiti and vandalism on the campus, similar to last week's graffiti.
Some of the graffiti alluded to bombs being planted in various school buildings.
Graffiti was found throughout the campus but was heavily concentrated in the middle of the campus, including classrooms, the cafeteria and the school library.
Vandalism included a broken window to one of the storage buildings.
As a safety precaution, school officials canceled school for the day. School officials were able to notify parents early enough that no students arrived on campus today.
Police continue to investigate this incident and are working with school officials to identify anyone that may have been involved.
