Thousands take part in Great Aloha Run

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Thousands of people have taken part in the 27th annual charity race, the Great Aloha Run this Presidents Day.

The first male runner to finish is Brandon Laan. The first female runner to finish is Lanni Marchant. And the first wheelchair winner is Peter Hershorn

The 8.15-mile relatively flat course starts at Aloha Tower in Downtown Honolulu, winds its way along the historic Honolulu Harbor, down Nimitz Highway, Kamehameha Highway and into the Aloha Stadium.

The finish line is the back goal line of the north end zone on the stadium floor. Aid Stations are at approximately miles 3, 5 and 7 as well as the end of the course.
