Kick Butts Day

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow)-Dozens of tobacco prevention and control organizations and more than 100 youth across the state will come together Monday, February 14, at the State Capitol for Hawai'i's 8th annual Kick Butts Day. Kick Butts Day is a national event for communities to take action against the tobacco industry.

This year in addition to a health fair and legislative visits, youth advocates held a "share the love" rally to motivate lawmakers to take action against "Big Tobacco" marketing tactics such as storefront advertising near youth-friendly products such as candy, ice cream, chips and toys.
