HONOLULU  (HawaiiNewsNow) - This is Colt Brennan's first trip back to Hawaii since the accident which involved his girl friend Shakti Stream and Big Island resident Theresa Wang.

It's been nearly three months since former UH quarterback was involved in the accident that left him in critical condition.

Since then he's spent most of his time at home in California recovering with his family.

Stream was the driver of an SUV that crossed the center line on Nov. 19 colliding with a car driven by Wang.

Stream and Brennan were both hospitalized for less than a week but Wang was in a coma for weeks.

A pending law suit has restricted what Brennan can say about the accident but he did say he owes his life to the quick work from his doctors.

He says he hopes to resume his pursuit of playing in the NFL.

He's been able to train in moderation but he will make his first return to a football field when he steps into Aloha Stadium for the barefoot league "Field of Legends" football camp Saturday.
