The blood flowing through Chanteal Satele's veins is green and white. The Rainbow Wahine junior hails from a family of University of Hawai'i athletes. Her father, Alvis, played football for the Warriors with stints in the NFL and the CFL. Her mother, LeeAnn (Pestana), was a member of the Rainbow Wahine volleyball teams that won NCAA Championships in 1982 and '83. Brother, Liko, is a defensive lineman for the Warriors while older brother, Brashton, played linebacker for UH and is currently a member of the NFL's New York Jets. So when Chanteal went looking for a change of scenery after two years with the Saint Mary's College volleyball team, she chose Hawai'i. Was there any other choice?
Mahalo to the Satele clan... an inspiration to all families.
