HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Christina Aguilera has been invited to sing a do-over of the National Anthem. The Brooklyn Cyclones, the New York Mets' Class A farm team, is offering the Staten Island native a chance to perform "The Star-Spangled Banner" before one of the minor league baseball team's home games this summer. Cyclones general manager Steve Cohen said in a statement that "when a player makes a mistake, they usually don't get a shot at redemption, but with a singer, that's a different story."

Lady Gaga, being interviewed by Anderson Cooper for a segment on "60 Minutes", wanted to show Anderson her old apartment. She, Anderson and the camera crew knocked on the door of the New York flat where she lived for three years before finding stardom. But the current occupant would not let her in. Gaga knocked on the door of her former apartment and announced: "Hi, this is Lady Gaga. I was just wondering if I could say, 'Hi.'" The resident said, "I'd rather not have any cameras," and told everyone to beat it.
