BIG ISLAND (HawaiiNewsNow) - Big Island police have completed their investigation into a two-vehicle crash Nov. 19 that seriously injured three people, including former University of Hawaii quarterback Colt Brennan.
The investigation has been forwarded to the Office of the Prosecuting Attorney for investigation as two negligent injury cases against the SUV driver, Shakti Stream, Brennan's girlfriend.
The head-on collision on Queen Kaahumanu Highway in North Kona resulted in the driver of the other car, Dr. Theresa Wang, suffering traumatic injuries including a stroke that caused her to lose consciousness. She is still hospitalized in Colorado.
Brennan suffered serious injuries, including a head injury, a broken clavicle and injury to four ribs. Shakti suffered a shoulder injury.
