PEARL CITY (HawaiiNewsNow) - With many ringing in the Chinese New Year on Thursday, those making resolutions to stay healthy, got a little help from a Qi Gong master Saturday.
Brandon Eugenio has studied martial arts for much of his life, and now offers classes in Kaimuki.
He says the popularity of practicing the various forms of ancient chinese martial arts has grown over the years.
Eugenio specializes in Tai Chi, Qi Gong, and Kung Fu, and has just opened up a second location in Pearl City to help give people a chance at living a long and prosperous life.
"They have many health benefits. You need to be healthy in order to carry on life and our goal here is to make everyone healthy and happy", said Brandon Eugenio, Chinese martial arts teacher.
Classes are held on Thursdays at the Good Samaritan Episcopal Church & Preschool at 1801 10th Avenue from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Saturday classes are held at Highlands Intermediate School at 1460 Ho'olaulea Street from 9:00-10:00 a.m.
Eugenio teaches Dayan Qi Gong, Chen Taijiquan, Wing Chun Kung Fu.
