HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - An injured hiker had to be rescued Friday after he was hurt while on the Manoa Falls trail.
According to emergency crews, a call was placed for help at about 3:15 p.m. from a group of hikers, two men and a woman, all in their 30s.
One man had injuries to his upper body and lower leg. It's not clear how the injury happened.
The group had started hiking from the Woodlawn side of the Manoa Falls trail when the man was injured and a call for help was made.
The injured man was found, placed into a litter basket and taken out by helicopter to a waiting ambulance at Manoa District Park at about 4:20 p.m.
The other two hikers were not injured and walked out on their own.
