Warriors swept

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) – The University of Hawai'i men's volleyball team were swept by 6th ranked UC Santa Barbara Friday night at the Stan Sheriff Center 25-22, 25-23, 25-23.

The Warriors (3-6, 3-3 MPSF) faltered at the end of each set in a match that could easily have been a three-set win. UCSB came up big at the end, scoring three straight to win Set 1, two straight in Set 2, and the final two points in the final set.

Jonas Umlauft and Joshuat Walker each had 11 kills while Steven Hunt added 10 kills and five blocks.

Hawaii plays the last of a 3-match home stand when they host Cal Baptist Friday, Feb 11 at the Stan Sheriff Center and Saturday, Feb. 12, at Maui's War Memorial Gym.
