TRASH BACK UPS AT WAIMANALO GULCH LANDFILL

17 days after heavy rains pushed medical waste and other trash from the landfill onto Leeward Oahu shores, Waimanalo Gulch will reopen today. But, we'll explain why your trash could still be turned away.

25TH ANNIVERSARY OF CHALLENGER DISASTER

Big Island Astronaut Ellison Onizuka and the 6 other crew members of the Space Shuttle Challenger will be remembered today. It was 25 years ago today when the Challenger exploded seconds after lift off.
