HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - We've all heard about the Make-A-Wish Foundation. It grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions.
Well, Friday we met 12-year-old Micah Hord from Brentwood, Tennessee, a suburb of Nashville. Micah suffers from cystic fibrosis, a chronic lung disease that also affects his digestive tract.
As you can guess, Micah decided he'd had enough of the snow and freezing temperatures in Tennessee, and Hawaii looked so good.
He told us, "I picked to go to the Pro Bowl for five days and here in Hawaii, 'cause I really like football and Hawaii's always warm."
His dad, Steve Hord, followed up by saying, "He gave three wishes but the top one was to go to Hawaii for the Pro Bowl, specifically, and I had no idea he was even thinking about it, so it was very exciting.
As part of Micah's wish, he gets to go to the game, an autograph signing session, and a meet-and-greet with the players.
