Billionaire Kawamoto tears down neighbor's rock wall

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Billionaire Genshiro Kawamoto and his Kahala neighbors hit a new low Friday when police showed up. This is what is left of a rock wall that Kawamoto's crews tore down.

A neighbor claims it is hers, saying she paid for it in full when it was built. She says demolition crews showed up around noon and simply told her they were tearing it down.

That's when she called police. When officers asked to see a permit for the work, she says the workers had none. So the work was stopped.

The woman wants Kawamoto to rebuild the wall and apologize.

"He was not even decent enough to send a person to me to come and talk to me," she said. "He sends bulldozers. I have a feeling he is destroying a wonderful neighborhood. But nobody, people can say nobody can do anything."

We tried to reach Kawamoto and his people, but did not get a response.

Trump has already rejected the idea of bringing in the FBI to reopen its background check of Kavanaugh. Should he order such a review, it would likely delay a confirmation vote until after the election.
