Happy Aloha Tuesday everyone! After a gloomy day for parts of the state, it looks like some of us could be in store for heavy showers and possible thunderstorms tonight. We'll check in with Guy Hagi for the latest on the approaching severe weather.
There's also big news about rail! The Federal Transportation Administration says the project has met all the requirements of the environmental review process and clears the way for construction to begin on Honolulu's first rail system. We'll have a complete report plus reaction tonight at 5.
We're also following the investigation of a shooting at a Mililani Shopping Center. It happened last night. Honolulu police say a 21-year-old man was shot while sitting in his car at Safeway. Two suspects reportedly fled the scene and police are now asking for the public's help in finding them.
