Likelike crash sends two to hospital

HONOLULU (Hawaii News Now) - Two Ford pickup trucks were involved in a critical accident at about 10:43 p.m. Friday on the Likelike Highway which sent two people to the hospital.

According to police, A 1993 white Ford F-150 was driving Honolulu bound on the Likelike and making a left turn at Valley View Drive when collided with a black 2008 Ford F-320 in the Kaneohe bound lanes.

The 36-year-old driver of the white truck was thrown from the vehicle and taken to The Queen's Medical Center in critical condition. He was not wearing a seatbelt, police said.

The 35-year-old driver of the black truck was taken to Queen's in good condition. He was wearing a seatbelt.

Speed may have been a factor in the accident and traffic signals were not working at the time, according to police.
