Red Cross opens emergency shelter in Waianae

WAIANAE (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Red Cross has opened a shelter for Leeward coast residents affected by the flooding at the Waianae District Park Gymnasium, 85-601 Farrington Highway.

The refuge shelter has limited supplies and residents wishing to stay should bring additional supplies with them such as:

· blankets

· sleeping bags or additional warm blankets

· change of clothing

· toiletries

· food

· medications

· additional care items for babies, young children and the elderly

This shelter will be managed and operated by the American Red Cross.
