PAN SEARED SOY SALMON WITH WAKAME SALAD

 

Ingredients:       2 pieces Salmon fillet about 6 ounces

Marinate            1/2 c. Soy Sauce

                            2t. Mirin

                            2t. Sake

                            2T Sugar

                            Salt and Pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients and marinade salmon filet for at least 1 hour

 

Wakame Salad

                            1/4 c. Wakame (soaked in warm water to rehydrate for 5 min. and drained

                            1/2 c. Rice Wine Vinegar

                            1/2 c. Sugar

                            Salt and Pepper to taste

Combine all ingredients and let sit for 1-2 hours

 

Preparation:
~ In a Sauté pan with medium high heat add one tablespoon of oil and Salmon filet.

~ Cook each side of the salmon until the salmon is cooked about 3 minutes on each side.

~ Plate the salmon n the center of the plate and top with Wakame salad .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

FURIKAKE CRUSTED SALMON WITH WASABI AIOLI

 

Ingredients:       2 pieces Salmon fillet about 6 ounces

                            1 c. Panko (Japanese breadcrumbs)

                            3 T Furikake (Japanese seasoned nori)

                            1 egg, beaten

                            Flour for dredging

                            Salt and pepper

                            Oil for Frying

Preparation:

~ Combine Panko and Furikake, set aside. Season the fish with salt and pepper

dust with flour, dip in the egg, then coat with Panko mixture until the salmon is well coated.

~ Deep fry in the pre-heated oil at 300-325 degree, until the fish turn to a golden brown, remove from the oil and put in a center of a plate. Top with Wasabi Aioli.

 

Wasabli Aioli

 

                            1/2 c. Mayonnaise

                            2 t. Wasabi powder

                            1 t. Water

                            2 t. Mirin

                            Salt and Pepper to taste

 

Mix Wasabi powder and water till you form a paste, add Mirin, Mayonnaise, Salt

and Pepper, whisk until all ingredients well combine
