Tourist rescued on Koko Head trail

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A tourist twisted his ankle Monday while hiking on the Koko Head Crater trail and had to be rescued by firefighters.

The injured man and his wife called for help at 10:25 a.m.

Firefighters hiked up to the couple and then called for a helicopter which carried the victim to Koko Head District Park.

The man was taken to a hospital by ambulance.

    Rescue and recovery efforts continued through the night into the morning in Italy following the collapse of a highway bridge in Genoa, while authorities raised the death toll to 35 with three missing.
