HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The comedy Little Fockers narrowly retained its lead at the North American box office during the holiday weekend, earning $26.3 million Friday through Sunday. True Grit came in second with $24.5 million, and Tron: Legacy with $18.3 million.

TV ratings for Saturday's Rose Bowl and Fiesta Bowl on ESPN dropped 15% and 22% respectively. This was the first year both games aired on cable rather than broadcast TV. The match ups didn't help, either. There was no USC, no Alabama, no Florida, no Ohio State.

Paula Abdul has an important message: contrary to popular belief, she has a brain. The former American Idol judge and face of new CBS reality show Live to Dance says the assumptions that she isn't all there are absolutely bunk. "I am intelligent," Abdul told CBS' Sunday Morning program. "Having a brain, that's a concept, yes, with Paula Abdul. I have a brain." And Abdul insists her brain's been untouched by alcohol.
