KALIHI (HawaiiNewsNow) - There was a ton action on Dillingham Boulevard Wednesday.

Crews were demolishing the old Foremost building in Kalihi.

The job is nearly complete.

This officially marks the end of Foremost Dairies, which officially shut its doors back in 2004.

The company closed saying it was too expensive to upgrade the aging facilities, which the state health department had deemed unsafe.

Foremost had been operating out of this facility for more than half a century.
