HONOLULU, Oahu (HawaiiNewsNow) - One California man has just completed his sixty first marathon. Sam Felsenfled said he found motivation for all this running from a very important source, his 7-year old autistic son Jack. Jack has moderate to severe autism and he's the reason for the 61 marathons that Sam ran all over the country this year, sometimes two in one weekend, all to raise money for Train-4-Autism a group that helps families and autism related charities.
Curiosity usually kills the cat but this time, it's a precocious pup with a dog-gone tale to tell. This german shepherd got his head stuck in an 18-inch thick wall. Actually it was through it. With his head on one side and his body on the other. Riverside county animal rescue officers pushed and pulled, and "rebel" the dog was free after about 30 minutes. He suffered some scrapes but is okay.
And finally, some lucky students in Omaha had pancakes with penguins this morning. The "Henry Doorly Zoo" in Nebraska offered the event to allow kids to learn more about African penguins with crafts and a even a movie. Of the 15 different species of penguins only three of them live in the Antarctic.
