Wednesday deadline for City Council special election mail-in ballots

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - All district one mail-in ballots must be received by the city clerk no later than 6 p.m. Wednesday in the return envelopes that were provided.

The district one council seat represents an area from Ewa to Makaha.

It was left vacant last month by Todd Apo.

Fourteen candidates are running for the seat.

The results will be released some time Wednesday evening.
