Gunman sought in early morning holdup

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Honolulu police are searching for a gunman who held up a convenience store early Sunday morning in Chinatown.

The robbery happened at the Maunakea Store at about 5:20 a.m. Investigators said a man pointed a silver handgun through an open window at the store, and got money from the cashier.

A witness told police that he heard a gunshot and saw the suspect running away. No one was injured in the robbery.
