UPDATE: Rudy Aiono was arrested Wednesday at 95-210 Hokulea Place for his $20,000 Probation Revocation warrant.
HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Police responded to an alarm call at The Shack in Mililani on Kipapa Drive around 3:30 a.m. on April 11, 2009.
"Upon arrival they found that there was forced entry into one of the doors and that the business had been searched," said Kim Buffett of CrimeStoppers.
After reviewing the surveillance video, workers recognized Rudy Aiono, 33, as the burglar.
"Several employees and the manager were able to identify Aiono as a former employee who had worked at The Shack before as the person who entered and stole items. He was located at this residence on July 2, 2009 and placed under arrest," said Buffett.
Aiono is wanted for violating his HOPE probation. Authorities issued a $20,000 warrant for his arrest on November 12.
"He's known to frequent the Mililani area and has four prior convictions," said Buffett. "They are for burglary, possession of burglary tools, driving under the influence and liquor in public."
Aiono is described as 6'3" and 220 pounds. He has brown hair and brown eyes. Call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300 with your tips.
