HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Let's take a look at some of the Good Things in the news...
Feathers flew in Prague's Old Town Square as hundreds of residents and tourists gathered for a huge public pillow fight. The battle, organized via Facebook, raged for 3 minutes under Prague's world famous astronomical clock. Smaller guerilla skirmishes carried on after the larger official battle. No one was hurt during the massive pillow fight, but officials say the clean up was challenging.
Across Ohio, it was another colder-than-normal day on Sunday. The temperatures remained below freezing all day. It was perfect weather for the Plain City Polar Bear Club to induct new members of their winter swimming team. Some of the newbies say they have been training all summer to get ready for freezing plunge. All went well, but medical technicians were standing by just in case.
Elementary students in Vermont honored local National Guardsmen with a school-wide breakfast tribute and celebration right before the holidays. With patriotic music and colorful signs, the students welcomed the soldiers back home after a year fighting terrorism in Afghanistan. Several guardsmen have children enrolled at the school.
