HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The National Weather Service in Honolulu has extended a Flood Advisory for the Hana area of Maui until 2 p.m. Tuesday. Forecasters said radar showed a stationary area of heavy rain from Hana to Kipahulu.
Other areas covered by the advisory include, but are not limited to, Oheo Gulch.
The weather service says people should stay away from streams and low-lying areas prone to flooding. Rainfall and runoff may also cause hazardous driving conditions due to runoff and ponding on roadways.
