Coming up on Sunrise this morning

Good Tuesday Morning Sunrisers,

Hawaiian Electric crews have restored power to Macy's and other stores on that end of Ala Moana Shopping Center. HECO is still working on repairs to the underground cable for the other end of the mall. Some stores are still without electricity. A HECO spokesman said power to those shops may be restored by midday.

Hawaii's first indoor electric kart race track is getting ready for its grand opening on January 1, 2011. The Kapolei facility features a quarter-mile concrete track that allows as many as a dozen drivers to compete at the same time. Ramsay Wharton will get a sneak peek.

The University of Hawaii men's basketball team will host the second annual Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic this week at the Stan Sheriff Center. Steve Uyehara sits down with head coach Gib Arnold for a preview of the tournament.

Are you hosting a holiday gathering this year? Steven Boyle, master designer for Current Affair, will be in studio to show us how to throw the ultimate party. If you have a question about hosting or decorating, he'd love to answer it! E-mail your question to Sunrise@HawaiiNewsNow.com.

Make sure to forward this email to your family and friends, so we can add to our Sunrise Ohana. You can catch all of these stories and segments streaming live online from 4:30 - 9:00 a.m. on HawaiiNewsNow.com or on KGMB, KHNL and KFVE. If you missed one, watch it later on our website.

See you on television,
