Police seeking public assistance in locating hit-and-run driver

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Police are asking for the public's help in locating the driver of a white pickup truck or SUV that hit and killed a bicyclist on Kamehameha Highway.

On Dec. 17 at approximately 11:10 p.m., Zachary Manago was cycling with a group of friends when he was struck from behind near Leilehua Golf Course.

He was taken to Wahiawa General Hospital where was pronounced dead.

According to police, the vehicle failed to stop and was last seen heading toward Wahiawa Town.

The pickup or SUV may have extensive frontend damage, a broken radio antenna and a broken right-side rear-view mirror.
