Walmart recalling heaters due to fire, burn hazards

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Walmart is recalling 2.2 million electric heaters due to fire and burn hazards.

It involves Flow-Pro, Airtech, Aloha Breeze and comfort essentials heaters sold from December 2001 to October 2009.

The company has received 21 reports of incidents.

If you have these heaters, stop using them immediately and return to any Walmart store for a full refund.

    Nearly a year after a landslide in Kipahulu, repairs are getting underway to fix parts of Piilani Highway at the Nuanualoa Gulch. The repairs are part of a 7-month-long, nearly $2 million project. Daily road closures will begin February 5th as Hawaiian Dredging Construction crews bring in equipment to build a retaining wall, put up guard rails and complete other safety measures.
