Property taxes on Oahu expected to decrease in 2011

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The City of Honolulu announced Wednesday that property tax collections on Oahu are expected to decrease next year.

City officials say that's due to an overall decline in real property assessments.

They expect a 0.02 percent drop from $178.35 billion to $178.31 billion.

This week, property owners will get their assessments in the mail.
