Chatting with Billy V: December 16, 2010

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Film critic Roger Ebert will debut his new television show across the United States in January, in a return to TV after a long battle and recovery from thyroid cancer.  Roger said "Roger Ebert presents At the Movies," will use the trademark thumbs up or thumbs down rating system Ebert created with late film critic Gene Siskel, who died of brain cancer in 1999. Ebert said he will contribute regular segments of his own on the show.

Sandra Bullock has been named People magazine's Woman of the Year for her roller coaster year that included a divorce from Jessie James and adoption of son Louis. Bullock can be found as part of the Most Intriguing People of 2010 issue.

According to a new study out this morning:

For the second year in a row, Americans ranked "whatever" as the most annoying word or phrase used in conversation.
- "Like" came in second.
- "You know what I mean?" was ranked third by 15 per cent.
