HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - A man accused of torching a Chinatown apartment was sentenced to 20 years in jail.
Under a plea deal, Zhan Hang Yu pled guilty to one count of arson in the first degree.
Back in June of 2009, Hang Yu dumped accelerant on the 26th floor of Kukui Gardens.
Court documents say he was drunk and trying to ignite the apartment of a man that his wife was having an affair with.
The parole board will set the mandatory minimum of years Hang Yu will serve.
