A public hearing about the possible closure or consolidation of Kaiser Complex Elementary Schools (Aina Haina, Hahaione, Kamiloiki, Koko Head Elementary) will be held at 6:30 tonight in the Kaiser High School Cafeteria. The Department of Education will send a recommendation to the Board of Education after the meeting.
Military members are participating in the 2010 Fallen Heroes Run to honor 116 Marines and sailors from the 3rd Marine Regiment killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. The two-day event at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe began yesterday. The teams are expected to finish running after 10:30 tonight.
