MANOA (HawaiiNewsNow) - He's without a doubt one of the keys to victory for the Rainbow Warrior basketball team.
And when Bill Amis sat out about a month ago, with a stress fracture in his right foot, the team missed his presence in the paint, dearly.
On Tuesday, the team, along with Amis, practiced in the hot and humid Klum Gym.
Head coach Gib Arnold says Amis will play, but he's not sure how much time he'll get on the floor.
Amis himself wouldn't say if he's a hundred percent yet, but he's looking forward to mixing it up again after about a month on the sidelines.
"Feels good to be back out here, with the guys working out, that's the main thing, it's tough having to watch everyday, all the games, we talked about just getting out there and getting some kind of rhythm, not really pushing too hard, just trying to get a rhythm out there," Amis said.
Hawaii and Chicago State take to the court at the Lahaina Civic Center, starting at 7 p.m., Friday. The game will not be televised.
