Honolulu City Lights Events

Honolulu Hale is decked out for the season. Ramsay Wharton takes us inside Honolulu Hale for a little history and break down of the upcoming Honolulu City Lights activities through the month of December.

Ramsay spoke with Pauline Worsham, the President of the Friends of Honolulu City Lights, about this year's and past Christmas ornaments. The FHCL is a group of dedicated citizens who meet all year long to plan and organize the annual event.  Also a member of the group, Owen Ho, an interior designer, who is responsible for the beautiful Christmas tree and Honolulu Hale decorations.

Chase Masuda, an employee with the Customer Services Department, helped lead his team to a win in the city department tree decorating competition held annually and on display in the Honolulu Hale courtyard. The "Bumble" (aka The Abominable Snowman from the 1964 movie, Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer) is a wonderful picture taking opportunity for the kids.

The 2010 Honolulu City Lights ornament is available for $18 online at HCL's website below and at all Oahu Macy's, First Hawaiian Bank Oahu locations and the Borders Books & Music at Ward Avenue.
