HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - Let's take a look at some of the Good Things in the news...

Congratulations to Calla Chang. The Punahou Senior was named Hawaii's Distinguished Young Woman for 2010. She won a $4,000 scholarship and will head to the national competition in Alabama. Sacred Hearts Senior Felicia Cazares was first runner up. Kamehameha Senior Kapu Aiu-Yasuhara came in third.

The Chivas Brothers unveiled a $2,700 bottle of whisky developed for China's growing upper class. The "Royal 62 Gun Salute" was released in Beijing as whisky has grown increasingly popular in Asia in recent years. It's a blend of several shiskies, each aged for at least 40 years. In 2008, South Korea and China accounted for about 20% of the $5 billion a year industry.

Residents of the Italian city of Modena celebrated the 22nd National Pork Festival by cooking the world's largest sausage. At just more than a ton, the huge Zampone sausage is a typical Northern Italian delicacy made of ground pork and is particularly popular around Christmas time. It took a crane to lift the huge sausage from the container used to cook it. Then everyone in the huge crowd got to taste the holiday treat.
