Today marks the 69th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. The theme of this year's commemoration is "A Promise Fulfilled." This reflects the completion of the new Pearl Harbor Visitors Center at the World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument. Ramsay Wharton will have live reports throughout the morning.
About 450 Marines and sailors from the 3rd Battalion, 3rd Marine Regiment are scheduled to return to Hawaii today. They finished a seven-month deployment in Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. More than 1,000 Marines and sailors from "America's Battalion" are set to return to Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe this week.
