Police: man used counterfeit check to pay for cosmetic surgery

HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - An Ewa Beach man is in Honolulu police custody accused of using a bogus check to pay for his cosmetic surgery.

Officers on Saturday arrested Godwyn Foster, 39, on suspicion of second-degree forgery and second-degree theft.

Investigators say Foster underwent a cosmetic procedure November 23rd and paid for it using a cashier's check, which was later determined to be counterfeit. The suspect returned to his doctor's office on Lusitana Street December 4th for a follow-up examination and was arrested.
